Who we are
EON Web Services is a trading name of EON Risk Services Ltd (company number 677655), Ballyvalloo, Co. Wexford. We decide what personal data we collect and why, which makes us the data controller. Contact: info@eonwebservices.com or 083 879 4253.
What we collect, and why
- Your booking: your name or business name, email address, phone number, what your site is for, the day you book, and the text of your intake chat with our AI assistant. We use this to build your website and to contact you about it. Legal basis: it is needed to carry out the contract with you.
- Photos, logos and text you upload for your site. We use them only to build and show you your site.
- Payment details. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a Stripe reference to your saved card so that the balance can be charged after you approve your site. Legal basis: contract, and our legal duty to keep accounting records.
- Contact form messages, so we can reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry.
- Voice dictation. If you use the Speak button on the chat, your recording is sent to Google to be turned into text. We do not keep the audio.
- Visit counts. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
The website itself sets no cookies.
Who handles your data for us
We use these providers to run the service: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database and file storage), Stripe (payments), Google (the AI model behind the intake chat and voice dictation, and our email), and Resend (delivering contact form messages). Some of them are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where that happens, they rely on safeguards approved by the EU, such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
The intake chat is processed by an AI model. A person (Rory) reads your answers and checks your finished site before you see it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records, chat transcripts, uploads and payment records for six years after your job ends, because we need them for tax records and to deal with any dispute. Contact form messages are kept for up to two years. After that we delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format, and you can object to our use of it. Email info@eonwebservices.com and we will answer within one month. Some records we must keep by law, and we will tell you if that applies. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
